Ryan Lee Blu-Ray Commentary
For the record…I’m aware that Rom (and therefore Zor) is not a robot.  He’s simply going with his exterior markers in a passive-aggressive attempt to cock-block Longbeau.  Because he told him at the start that he didn’t want to participate.

Incidentally, if we want to dive deep into the nerd locker, Rom is awfully close to a robot.  His “humanity” was supposedly stored in a jar back on Galador, ready to be restored as soon as the Wraith menace was dealt with for good.  That story element got more complicated toward the end of the series, but I don’t want to spoil that, because more people should read Rom.  It’s Bill Mantlo’s best work bar none.

If you’re wondering why Zor is trying to use his cyborg mittens to manipulate chopsticks..go back about 7 weeks and check out his debut strip with Kestrel.  It’s pretty integral to joining the Justice Corps.

Continuity, people! You’ll also notice that the figures casting silhouettes in the backgrounds lately are actual characters from previous strips. Genius!
